Joshua Doom

Josh Doom is a versatile singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist.  With influences such as Foo Fighters and Paramore, his energy and talent have helped his hard rock/alternative band, Swamp78, to become a rising star within the Charlotte music scene.

Josh Doom is a co-founder Swamp78, initially serving as lead guitarist and transitioning to lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in late 2018.  In August 2018, Swamp78 released an EP entitled "How Did We End Up Here?" on which he served as lead guitarist and primary songwriter.  Swamp78’s performance highlights include performing for the first ever Nu Sound/ Mad Park Designs Music Festival, supporting Steel Standing at Amos’ South End, The Milestone’s Christmas 2018 Canned Food Drive, performing at Ground Zero’s Summer Metalfest the upcoming Carolina Uprising Music Festival.  Swamp78 will also be entering the studio this Fall to record their debut LP.

In addition to performing for a loyal fan base as part of Charlotte's music scene, Josh has performed in the worship team for West United Methodist Church for a regular weekly audience of 300+ members since 2015, covering today’s contemporary Christian hits as well as a wide variety of secular music, from Louis Armstrong to Creed.  Josh primarily serves as lead guitarist and co-lead singer, but can occasionally be seen behind the drum kit.  West UMC’s Worship Team was recently invited to perform at the Lake Junaluska Conference & Retreat Center for the Western North Carolina United Methodist Church Annual Conference.  Members of the West UMC Worship Team will be traveling to Nashville for Summer NAMM 2019.
