Jimmy Clay Band

The Jimmy Clay Band is a traditional country band from the Jackson, MI area. With song choices by artists such as Waylon Jennings, Jerry Reed, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams Jr., George Strait, David Alan Coe, Johnny Paycheck, The Charlie Daniels Band as well as great Jimmy Clay originals their style will take you back to the time when country music was real with real stories behind every song. Accomplishments include opportunities with local radio live performances and interviews, performing at the famous WYCD’s Downtown Detroit Hoedown, performing as the opening act for national artists and country music legends such as The Kentucky Headhunters. Entering a talent contest in 2016, Judged by local celebrities and Nashville artist, Chuck Wicks, Jimmy Clay became the 2016 W4country’s 1st place winner of the W4country Idol contest by performing a Hank Williams Jr classic. Jimmy Clay Band consist of top musicians from the southern Michigan area, currently bringing newly written original music to the stage and continues to keep country music real by going BACK TO THE ROOTS, delivering that retro country sound and image to every performance with a mission for SAVING COUNTRY MUSIC.
