Jim Davidson

Welcome! My name is Jim Davidson, and I'm a concert classical guitarist based in the Boston area. I have been performing and teaching for the last ten years, appearing in recitals and festivals as well as in private functions and events (such as weddings).

I earned my Bachelor's in General Music from Bridgewater State University in 2014, studying under Dr. Jerome Mouffe, and am currently enrolled at the New England Conservatory to earn my Master's in Guitar Performance under Dr. Mouffe.

I play from the entire standard classical repertoire, ranging from Medieval keyboard music to Modern works, as well as original transcriptions.

My events repertoire is diverse, running from standard wedding repertoire to popular music to jazz to South American and Spanish music. Events programs are tailored to the client's needs. References from past clients furnished upon request.

I have also performed in flute and violin duos, string trios, and jazz bands (both combo and big band), as well as guitar duos, trios, quartets, and orchestras. Chamber music for ensembles can be arranged for events dependent upon availability of musicians.
