Bio
Born and raised in New York’s South Bronx neighborhood, Jhariah Clare grew up to a soundtrack of Hip Hop, Reggaeton, and Salsa. All of these influences can be heard harmoniously woven into a range of theatrical pop rock anthems, and dramatic, wailing ballads. Even with his emergence into the culture, the 18 year old performer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer wasn't always musically minded. Having a background in visual art since the age of 5, the versatile artist also meticulously constructs the unique visual experience surrounding the music. In 2016, after having produced electronic music throughout middle school and most of high school, he decided to embark on the notoriously challenging task of writing a concept album. Sparked by a newfound infatuation with musical theater, this would become his 2018 debut, "The Great Tale Of How I Ruined It All". Having self-produced and independently released his full-length album just out of high school, it’s clear that Jhariah has no shortage of ambition. Today, that passion is being poured into bringing his songs to the stage in the ever-vibrant New York DIY scene and writing his sophomore album. Whatever’s on the horizon, it’s safe to say this is only the beginning for the enthusiastic young artist.
