Singer/songwriter Jessie Barr thoughtfully prepares meaningful music for an audience that enjoys the lighter, soothing side of rock. Herself a guitarist, Jessie often collaborates with close friend and violinist Jason Burdett, and Guild Brother guitar soloist Ken Grove, a trio that produces a rich sound with unique arrangements of soft rock favorites. Jessie Barr only recently began her songwriting career- an inspiring byproduct of her long struggle with depression and chronic illness. Labeled the "Coffeehouse Queen," Jessie loves the intimacy of the coffeehouse setting, which is well-suited to her musical style. Her blend of meaningful music and her sense of humor create a refreshing experience for the listeners. Her music is inspired by artists like Carol King, Adele, Over the Rhine, Amy Grant, and the Beatles, covering multiple decades of song.
