Jenna Cowans

Singer/songwriter Jenna Burke has already established herself as an accomplished musician and and performer in the GTA. Growing up in a musical family, Jenna has been greatly influenced by her mother, who is the director of the Juno Award-winning Toronto Mass Choir.

Beginning with classical piano training from the age of 5, Jenna’s style was further developed through her study of jazz keyboards at the renowned Humber College and a Fine Arts in Music degree from York University. Her musical training firmly established, Jenna’s performance opportunities have included everything from intimate solo settings to touring with TMC throughout Canada, United States and Europe. Jenna has also performed and toured with The Nathaniel Dett Chorale.

Jenna is a sought after studio vocalist as well as a prolific songwriter. Her music has received rave reviews from not only her audiences but from other recording artists who want to sing her songs. Her debut album, appropriately titled ‘Insight’, is a snapshot of the musical journey on which she finds herself. "Insight" was nominated for two Urban/Soul GMA Covenant awards.

Jenna released her self-produced EP "First Rain Sessions-Solo" in January 2013, and her latest EP "FEARLESS" was released in February 2014. Previous venues include The El Mocambo, Clinton's Tavern,
Lambadina Lounge, Markham Theatre, Gladstone Hotel, The Central, 80 Gladstone, Harbourfront Studio Theatre  and The Placebo Space.
