Jason Perry

Jason Perry’s solo performances embody musical excellence, a captivating presence, and a uniquely broad variety of musical influences. His nearly decade long musical career has found him in a fantastically wide range of musical circumstances, from sight reading in a 26 piece jazz band at Pig Out in the Park to playing over 150 shows with Nu Jack City, an 8 piece Soul/ Funk band, to performing intimate solo acoustic sets. His musical resume also includes jazz combos; original funk, reggae, afrodub, and rock bands; blues quartets, country bands; and acoustic duos. By performing as both a hired hand and band leader, he’s had the opportunity to learn from entertainment veterans and hone his own skills in front of thousands of music fans.

His solo shows are a natural extension of his experience. A typical show features a very wide range of music that keeps diverse audiences engaged for hours. He plays early 19th century blues and jazz standards, timeless rock classics, R&B favorites, singer-songwriter/ country ballads, modern pop tunes, and original compositions. A natural entertainer, he frequently fields audience requests, and performances often turn into sing alongs. By utilizing a looping pedal, he can layer multiple guitar parts to create an energetic ‘band sound.’ A Jason Perry performance is truly a memorable event.
