Jake Ingamar

Jake Ingamar, 25, is a full-time musical artist and singer-songwriter from Fargo, ND. He has a very distinctive sound and combined with his unique voice, he delivers an authentic performance. His voice is like a blend of Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, and Tallest Man On Earth.

Jake writes and records his own music. He is extremely passionate, enthusiastic and hard working when it comes to his career in music, both as a performer and recording artist. He has a special interest in music production and songwriting. In fact, he has converted his dad’s old 1963 bus into a recording studio, known as Greyhound Studios, where he writes and records songs and, more importantly, puts his musical ideas into play.

He first began as a pedal steel guitarist along with electric and acoustic guitar when he was 13.  Since then, he has become skilled in multiple instruments and plays them all on his recordings, including acoustic and electric guitars (both six and twelve string), pedal steel guitar, drums and percussion, bass, harmonica, piano and keyboard, and all vocal harmonies.

Jake has had the opportunity to perform at the Whisky a Go Go in Hollywood as a special guest with a friend’s band in March 2014 when he was 20 years old. He was also selected by Parker Millsap to open up for him when he played at the Aquarium in Fargo in July 2017.

His influences are blended and demonstrated from his personally selected repertoire of covers ranging from 60's pop including The Beatles, The Byrds, and The Zombies to the storytelling heartland folk/Americana music of Johnny Cash, Gram Parsons, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, and Townes Van Zandt as well as contemporary songwriters including Elliott Smith, Ryan Adams, and Jim James (of My Morning Jacket).
