Music business…
I think the key word in that question is “Business” I think of my music as Heartfelt and I don’t like to think of the business aspect of it. It’s constantly changing and The “Music Overlords” can make or break you. I LOVE the MUSIC… not the Business part – @jake_jake71

Music business…
I think the key word in that question is “Business” I think of my music as Heartfelt and I don’t like to think of the business aspect of it. It’s constantly changing and The “Music Overlords” can make or break you. I LOVE the MUSIC… not the Business part.

I still have a lot of self doubt…
The Cons have definitely been because of my mindset and the “Business” we were talking about in the last question. The Pros are a personal realization that I can’t let anything “go to my head” I have been fortunate enough to have a work-a-holic mom that trys to help me get over anything that may get in my way. She only wants one thing for me, a biggie, she wants me to be Happy in the job I choose to do(Music) and be able to make a living at it.
Singles vs. an album…
Singles are fine but they don’t give you the whole “Feel” of the Artist’s mindset when recording. I prefer Albums, for that reason. As far as Marketing strategy, I would and do sell Album Only on iTunes, for this Album. Social Media…
I think Social Media offers a better chance of getting heard, lots of exposure opportunities, but I haven’t yet figured out how to get the amount of exposure to compete in today’s market. I think I would need the big bucks from a Major Label, and have not gotten any offers, nor do I want to “Sign on the dotted line” to be “Owned” by a Label.
I would love to have 5 minutes alone with…
John Mayer- because , from what I’ve read, he came from nothing to making his dream come true. His music, I think, is similar to some of mine and I would just like to pick his brain and see if he could offer me some good advice.

There IS too mush emphasis on being current and trendy!
I am who I am and I have a style, maybe 2, that I put into my music. I am not trying to “Swiftly, keep up with the Jone’s-es” Did you catch that? I don’t want to be singing someone else’s songs and give up my own style. I like it, I live what I write, and I just hope other young adults (I just turned 20) can relate to my struggles through my music.

My favorite music or inspirational quote is… “Let Love Rule” – Lenny Kravitz .

I have always been musically inclined…
Lenny Kravitz was a big influence on me, I liked his style of music. My mom told me that I was singing every word to “Fly Away”, which was playing on her car radio, when I was 3 years old. That is when I got my first guitar, too. I was able (through the support of my parents) to pursue this musical journey. I had written and sung, played every instrument and recorded my first album at the age of 14. Here’s the link for that one:

Answers…
We are all searching for Answers. I try to share what I do in my search. This album in particular, is about my own journey over the last 5 years. I’ve made mistakes, used bad judgement, and done things that a lot of teens can relate to. I hope to accomplish a good fan base-people who can relate and like my style. I would like to play music for a living, and haven’t had the chance yet, but I hope this album will get me invited to do just that!

Key Largo, Florida…
and the music scene is practically nill, aside from playing Cover Tunes in Bars and Restaurants. There is no platform for Original music here.
