Bio
Lo! The Wizard appears!
A dream into lands far away! Such potent magic!
Bridging the great gap between reality and the realm in which we reside, alive and wild, specimens from the Swamp astride the Worm! Moving from plane to plane, harnessing the power that exists in the space between shadows and waking life. Armed with sight beyond sight and thought beyond thought hath the riders' time come.
"Lo-fi doom, a genre I never dreamed I would end up loving... Incanus have bestowed upon us a potential classic of the genre with this album" -Steve Rodger (Edinburgh, Scotland)
"lo-fi squeal and churn with sooo much crunch! highly recommended for those that feed on fuzz!" -bandcamp user residuetrail (Seattle, WA)
"...With one part hard rock, one part sludge metal and gang vocals added to the mix Incanus have crafted a hard-hitting musical style all their own. Are they chanting incantations to curse everyone? Or are they just singing rock songs? That's for only Incanus to know and for the audience to decipher." -Raleigh Davis, What's Up! Magazine
"...something up there smells like dank weed and farts..." -anonymous @ the Shakedown (Bellingham, WA)
Incanus play heavy psychedelic music inspired by stoner metal, crust punk, garage rock, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy culture.
Formed in 2010, Incanus have made their way around the pacific northwest sharing bills with the likes of Jucifer, Blue Sabbath Black Cheer, The Family Curse, Porch, Thieves of Eden, Spacewaster, Kurly Somthing, Power Skeleton and Black Beast Revival at venues like Seattle's Blue Moon, 2 Bit Saloon and Josephine, and Bellingham's The Shakedown, Wild Buffalo, Alternative Library, and Cabin Tavern. The band has recorded a few lo-fi demos, one full-length record, and is in the process of entirely dedicating themselves to making noise in service of their Wizard Master.
