In Depths & Tides

Deathcore/Progressive Heavy outfit hailing from southern New England. Has been integrated into the local scene for a number of years, and is still going strong despite numerous lineup changes. Being founded in 2010 by guitarist Matthew Connolly and original drummer Drew Tellen, they were joined by bassist Aidan Kelleher and guitarist Brandon 'Boomer' Osborn. After practicing together for a short time and piecing together a handful of songs, they recruited Cory Civitarese on vocals and went on to make a name for themselves at their first few local gigs. After a two song demo to further their musical pursuits, they released a seven song EP titled "Imminence" and began to climb up the local ranks. After Imminence, the quintet released another two-song demo before Civitarese and Tellen parted ways and the remaining musicians were joined by drummer Jake Frazier and vocalist Andrew Hoyle, after which they recorded a single and Hoyle left. However, after Hoyle's short stint and sudden departure, the group found their groove in recruiting vocalist Brandon Crisostomi and began to gain much more traction, gaining a strong following in the local scene and writing and recording their most ambitious and consistent piece of work to that point in time, the album (Bio)Luminescence. During and after this process, the bands' hard work paid off as Bio gained them credibility as local heavyweights and spots on large heavy music festivals such as Warped Tour, the Sumerian All-Star's Tour, and were direct support for acts such as Whitechapel,Despised Icon, Fit for an Autopsy, The Acacia Strain, and Born of Osiris, and spots supporting many larger heavy tour packages.
