The young Yonkers recording artist Iman Nunez and New York singer Annalise Azadia collabed on this soulful single “Pieces.” the song is a vibe off top and talks about a real side to relationships not going the way you would anticipate.
“Pieces” describes a mutual understanding that ex-lovers get where they see that things don’t have to last nor do they actually survive. However, there will be that struggle between moving forward and holding on. Iman expands on that struggle by rapping, “I get tempted to reach out but I never send, my pride won’t let me mend all the pieces we put to end.” The two artists match the intimate and vulnerable tone of Haysuse’s production to deliver a relatable song. - Reg The Ruler

New York City native Iman Nunez is a talented and exciting Hip-Hop artist that we have followed and supported for a few years now, and the evolution of his stylistic choices and songwriting has been a compelling journey. Influenced early on in his life by his uncle who constantly played artists like Jay-Z and The Notorious B.I.G. for him, these old-school New York influences come through strongly in Iman’s direct lyricism and larger than life style of rapping. Recently teaming up with another FIRST alum Annalise Azadian, the duo has just released a new single “pieces.” that pulls both of their talents together to create an emotional and introspective track about the end of a difficult relationship. Check out Iman Nunez’s new song “pieces." with Annalise Azadian on our “FIRST” playlist on Spotify and Apple Music! - Staff
