Sami, an Indie electronic artist, born in Texas, raised a preacher’s kid in rural Kansas, is not what you might expect. Sami grew up surrounded by diverse musical influences such as Gospel, Country, Hip Hop, Rock, R&B, EDM, and Classical. All of which come together in a unique blend that gives his music that unexpected kick. At an early age Sami knew he had growing aspirations for his future, and as such, decided to leave his small town and head for the big city, studying Music Production at Berklee College of Music. Now he is based in Tulsa, pioneering new waves as part of the New Tulsa Sound.
Sami describes his music as Indie ElectroHouse with a splash of Neo-Soul; themes wise, he writes about various aspects of the human condition: depression, suicide, love, life, and that small spark of hope we all cling to. Sami’s main goal for his music is to become anthemic for his listeners; that they feel parts of their own stories seen, acknowledged, and expressed.
