Indiana’s H.R. Steinhouse hosted a “Halloween @ H.R.” free live music event Saturday night that featured three local acts.
It was a packed Steinhouse as Tyler Vella, who is also known as the frontman for the band The Face of Apes, kicked off the evening. Herbivore followed, and the night concluded with a performance by Shades of the Rising Sun.
Following the event, Herbivore’s Matthew Van Horn said he’s happy to see the music scene continue to develop in Indiana:
“It was just a really good night overall. And I’m just really glad that there’s a lot of local bands playing around Indiana and I’m glad that local businesses are supporting the local bands, and it’s good to see. It’s really refreshing, because that hasn’t been around Indiana for a while.”
While Herbivore has no more scheduled performances for the time being, you can stay up-to-date with any band announcements via their Facebook page. - WCCS Radio

Bio
Herbivore is a band that aims to convey an organic and natural feel through elements of indie rock, folk, and blues. The band has a wide spectrum of influences ranging from modern bands like Grizzly Bear, RX Bandits, Minus the Bear, and The Black Keys, to classics such as Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac and of course - The Beatles. Herbivore originated in the spring of 2016 as a result of an impromptu recording session in Indiana, PA which led to the release of the band's first album, 'The College Years'. As of January 2020, Herbivore resides in Pittsburgh, PA and has since released a blues inspired single, 'Winds of Change', and an earthy double-single tribute to the time between fall and winter, 'Seasonal Drifting'.
