Haul E Wood Jones

Haul E Wood Jones’ music takes you on a journey with the characters that filled his childhood and taught him how to be a man. 
His material connects with audiences on a gut level, finding a common ground in the types of experiences he’s had, but reacting to them in his own unique way. 
“I make Reality Music,” responds Jones when asked to explain his style; “that the average person can relate to. It speaks to anyone that has dealt with the big situations in life, like relationship problems, struggling to pay bills, substance abuse, etc. My music relates to that. And then life.” 
Jones exhibits a respect and nostalgia for the past while still pushing towards the future. His biggest musical influences are Prince, Andre 3000 and Big K.R.I.T., and he infuses some of their wry humor, introspectiveness and timelessness into his tracks. 
His current project will be called “Reality Check,” because it will invite his audience to look within themselves and determine the type of people they really are, and what they would do if they were in the situations that Jones so eloquently describes with his scintillating verbiage and Southern flavor. 
Jones wants to be simply seen as “A man. In every aspect of the meaning. Not a gangster, not a thug, not a goon, not a street nigga; a man. A father and a friend.”
