Happy Yams bring a new feel to a classic genre. The vegan duet performs songs that are lush with addicting progressions, duet vocal harmonies, and a pop edge, with the aesthetic of indie pop anthems. Though the songs are diverse from one another, there is a glue that holds them all together. You can’t help but enjoy the ukulele and guitar combo supported by some minor percussion.
They play mostly originals but also some cover songs. They have released three EP's that can all be found on Spotify and wherever else you may get your music from. Happy Yams have been playing in the valley at venues such as Club Red, The Nile, The Underground, and plenty of coffee shops. They have also played the Mesa Music Festival the last two years as well as the VegOut Food and Beer Festival.
