Bio
Artists like Say Hello to Hammers and Petter Artie Pumpernickel III have sung the praises of Gutterfish. At the 2012 Grammys, Sir Elton John said, "They are like an older, masculine version of Flock of Seagulls. But different." The band members are well-known for their tendency to create havoc while touring. In a small Norwegian town last year, for example, drummer Kevin Lowe hit a baby in the face with a maraca. Singer Keith Pait once spent two months in a Miami prison for throwing a rock at Jennifer Lopez. In 2009, bass player Dilip Kothari single-handedly killed 46 kittens in Berlin during the city's now-infamous Feral Kitten Blitzkrieg of 2009. Guitarists Steve Stevens and Joe Chromey incited a riot in the middle of a Tokyo supermarket by making several loud, lurid gestures at a yellowfin tuna. Yet in the midst of the chaos, they were somehow able to create some of the most beloved polka music of the 1990s.
