A Dallas based band, Groove Contingency is made up from some of the best session players in North Texas. This group cuts cleanly and crisply through the genre clutter with a sound that slices directly to the heart with honest power. Like a sharp needle of sweet truth and beauty, it grabs, holds and sinks its hooks deep into the heart, impossible to ignore. This is music with teeth, heart, soul and big brass balls. Groove Contingency bends genres and ignores boundaries as they improvise and explore everything from Philly style hip-hop to 2000 year old Mid-East beats.
