Produced by Sir Flywalker, Loungin speaks about staying focused on the grind and perfecting your craft. Although many forms of motivation are mentioned on the track, Mary Jane steals the show! We caught up with OKC rapper, Grand National. He talks about his upcoming project Grand Prix and some of his influences. - Broke 2 Dope

Around midnight last night, rapper Grand National released the first single from his upcoming mixtape, Grand Prix. “Loungin’” is the leading track from the project and features a smooth beat, layered with lyrics about staying focused on the grind! With a hook that most workaholics can relate to, “F..k you pay me, all about a dollar…”, Grand keeps it real on the track and his flow is next to flawless. No pretending here, the track does a great job of describing the rapper’s mentality. If the rest of Grand Prix is anything like the first single, I think listeners will be in for a treat.

Grand Prix will be the first solo project from Grand National. The rapper has previously worked with Tulsa rapper, Dial Tone, to release The Chosen Few back in April of this year. He has also been featured on Tom Tuckers’ Growing Pains, Dial Tone’s Live from Utica, Continental Cudd’s Under Radar mixtape, and most recently, Controlled Substance by Beetyman.

The Oklahoma City native has been rapping since 2008 and is constantly at work perfecting his craft and sharing his music with new listeners. Grand Prix is scheduled to be released towards the beginning of 2015. The rapper has described the project as, “a collection of recordings representing my mindset at a current time and era, put into a format that you can jam to."
