"Indie Trail Mix - Poprockrecord.com"

"Garris always seems to squeeze a hook out of his songs with the most bare delivery. Well his most recent album builds on his previous efforts as he becomes a first class songsmith." - Dennis Pilon

"Power Pop Review"

"Young pop-rocker Gordy Garris is a strong vocalist and his opener “Let Me In” has a big anthemic chorus that will stick in your head." - Powerpopaholic

"White's Bar Reviews & The Review Magazine - Issue 848"

"Gordy Garris has written great material that fits perfectly in this saga of love and loss. His singing is powerful. His tenor is strong. His writing is accomplished. He was able to build lyrical castles in each moment of this incredible song cycle. Garris is on his way up!" - Bo White

"The Review Magazine - Issue 847"

"With “Never Give Up,” pop-rocker Gordy Garris establishes himself firmly as a singer with a gift for writing “hooks.” The album could easily have been titled “Never Give Up On Love,” as Garris’ revealing lyrical style is used to great effect in describing relationships – wanting one, getting into one, getting out of one, wishing you had one back, etc. If you have “been there, done that, got that t-shirt” in the relationship game, it is very likely you will find yourself joining Garris on the choruses, as the album is filled with the kind of catchy ear worms that tend to follow you around all day. Good stuff, for sure." - Matt De Heus

"Q108 Kingston"

"Love the songs - well written, well crafted and extremely well sung. Feel a little Jackson Browne meets Coldplay." - Randy Skaggs

"Overall the music is generally catchy, especially on "Liar, Liar" and "Hater." - Gina Harris

"South Of the Straits Podcast Episode 39"

"Man, the guy's incredible, what a talented, talented kid out there in the Saginaw area, Gordy Garris Group, the sound of the music, you know, you just listen to rap being put together with like Tom Petty. That's a great combination and the original sound of it is just, wow. That's all i can say. Just wow. Period, wow!" - Nate VerBerkmoes

"Detroit Rock City Radio"

“The Gordy Garris Group is a great group of musicians, classy and talented. They cover a spectrum of music, from fun loving to serious and on to rockin' and dance. Be ready for an entertaining performance when you get out to see them live, I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. I can't give them enough props here, because I am not a writer but I assure you this is a band worth checking out!” - Frank Fiorello

"Indie Trail Mix - Poprockrecord.com"

"You’ve got to have some kind of talent to quote ‘lair lair pants on fire’ in a song and make it cool. Sometimes Gordy reminds me of Freedy Johnston, other times Ben Vaughn." - Dennis Pilon

"Pop That Goes Crunch"

"Garris, who has already written more than 200 songs at age 20, has a knack for penning tunes that sneak their way into the subconscious." - Jeffrey Raskin

"Coast To Coast Radio"

Featured as emerging artist with the song "Flyin' Away" on Coast To Coast AM Talk Radio show. - George Noory

"Journal Sentinel - Tap Milwaukee"

"The Gordy Garris Group, "Music Masquerade" (Gordy Garris Group). Saginaw, Mich., doesn't seem like a place that would birth a second-generation pop-rock band influenced by Coldplay, so perhaps the Gordy Garris Group is part of Secret Saginaw." - Jon M. Gilbertson
