Mr. Eugene Robinson has been a faithful and loyal volunteer at the Foundry Ministries where he has given his service over 10 months. He came seeking to lend a heloing hand in our Rescue Program where we sevve the Bessemer community homeless and hurting people. He is the type of individual that takes initiative and a self starter in helping others. Because of his compassion and skills he was immediately chosen as the assistant individual to hep with the activities in our Rescue Program. He has leadership skills that go above and beyond the call of duty. He is a person you can always depend upon. He offers his services in the food department, clothes closet and on field trips. He always inspires the community people through prayer, songs, and inspirational words. He is one of our devotion leaders when we gon on field trips. He has also made a difference through good characteristic within our leadership team and made a tremendous contribution to their lives. He is the type of person any organization or charity program would love to have as their representative and I highly recommend him. Rhythm and Blues vocalist and instrumentalist Eugene Robinson epitomizes the talent that has been a lost art of Black music. in his new CD release 'Eugene Robinson Smooth R&B; Classics' you will experience a variety of cover tunes. The smooth melodic sounds of R&B; love songs evoke memories long lost as you reminisce down memory lane. Mr. Robinson not only has had his finger snapping to the sounds of many accomplished musicians whom he performed with since 1980. but he also is considered a headliner for many artists. Gene appeared on the classic icon's famous 'Johnny Carson' show Live, Soul Television Studio in Newark NJ. He performed in Yankee Stadium, on The Merv Griffin Harlem Special, Copa Cabana, Blue Coronet Club, The Savoy Theatre and at Various Community Organizational events for Youth Groups and Seniors.
Mr. Robinson is an accomplished musical instructor, received his AA at Ulster Community College. He is an experienced Alto Saxophone artist who enjoys and plays a variety of different music. Latin, Reggae, Chamber, Rock, Classical. as well as R&B.;
Eugene is the owner and Director of Gene's Transitional Housing located in Brooklyn New York. He also has been a Senior Counselor for Alcohol and Substance Since 2002.
Mr. Robinson also has a special flare with working with inner-city youth, who choose careers in the arts and humanities, sharing experiences with them related to his personal and professional relationships in the music business and how to become a success. He not only shares vital information but also performs for the students and faculty. He gives back to his community by demonstrating his love for the arts in its many facets. His dedication and work allow the youth an opportunity to acquire first-hand knowledge from his musical abilities, wisdom, and savvy business experiences as a world class professional and artist.
