Gabby Barrett was chosen as this year’s Sing-Off winner by the legendary singer and songwriter Smokey Robinson. Robinson served as the celebrity judge for the competition. Barrett will perform live on stage as the opening act for the Marquee Performance of River City Brass at the Benedum Center during Highmark First Night Pittsburgh 2015. The 14-year-old Serra Catholic high school student already has her own songs on iTunes and Amazon.com and is currently working on her upcoming album—scheduled to be released in the summer of 2015. Gabby won the 2014 Kean Quest Talent Search and has performed organizations and events both locally and nationwide, including but not limited to: Hard Rock Cafe, Light Up Night Pittsburgh, A.J. Meet Gabby Barrett, award-winning
songstress and highly sought after performer. Imagine a teenage girl possessing
the vocal qualities like legendary artists Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald.
Gabby is a true gem, gifted with the kind of rich soulful tones that take
decades to develop for many singers. Gabby has such a powerful voice and can
sing tunes from any era.
Gabby has covered several artists such as the Beatles, Ariana Grande, Whitney Houston, Adele, and Celine Dion, including Motown artists of the 60’s and 70’s. She also showcases her talent in the country scene covering artists such as Crystal Gale, Carrie Underwood, and Taylor Switft.
Gabby has performed in front of sold-out
crowds across the United States. She was awarded first prize for Smokey
Robinson’s Motown Contest; which included a spotlight performance at the
Benedum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on New Year’s Eve. Her victory also won her
an interview on KDKA’s, “The Today Show”. When referring to Gabby’s passion for
performing her music, Smokey was quoted as saying, "This girl has what it
takes to be a superstar!"

Gabby has performed in over
one-hundred concerts, which includes audiences of over 55,000 people at various
stadiums. She has received standing ovations for her rendition of the National
Anthem at football games including performing in front of the Pittsburgh
Steelers. Gabby has wowed crowds at numerous venues such as concerts at the
Hard Rock Cafe, Light Up Night Pittsburgh, A.J. Palumbo Center, Pitt, Carlow,
Cal U Colleges, Barnes & Noble, Daytona Bike Week, Daytona Speed Week,
Hilton, Bad Boys, Lakewood Church, KDKA, Wounded Warriors, Children’s Hospital,
Ronald McDonald House, Overly’s Country Christmas, Seven Springs, Kennywood,
St.Barnabas, and Simon Malls all over the country.

Quest Talent Search, impressed judges with her rendition of "Mercy".
This year she was asked back to perform for contestants. In addition, she
recently won an award for over 5000 downloads of her music and that number
continues to increase exponentially with each new performance.
Gabby also wants her success to
include giving back to the community. She has been able to use her gifts and
talents to support nonprofits such as Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald
House, Camp Star (Youth Amputee Camp), and Saint Jude. She has also traveled
around the country to perform at numerous high schools, universities and
community colleges to bring more awareness and talk candidly about the importance
of anti-bullying campaigns.
Gabby continues to visit cancer
patients as often as possible, sharing her time by bringing joy and hope
through her music, wherever she goes. Dreams are important to Gabby and she is
hard at work in making them into her reality, but, she also knows how important
it is to have purpose; to share the outcome of dreams with those who can
