With some of the tightest and brightest harmonies you’ll hear, Forgotten By Friday’s Whiskey & Song is a bourbon drenched love song to country music.
Opening with title track ‘Whiskey & Song’, the first thing to notice is that Forgotten By Friday are a band that has vocal harmonies are aren’t afraid to use them. As a result, it’s the kind of song that really makes you stop and pay attention, which means that by the time we’ve been thrust in to ‘Crazy As I Am’, we’re totally primed and ready for the smoky, swooning country vibe that is unpacked. With great male/female call and response vocals that fizzle with chemistry, its enough to turn the head of even the most disliking of country music. ‘Just A Girl’ takes a solid pop rock format and gives it the country treatment, while ‘I’m Home’ is more of your classic balladry, with a fun piano part that tramps along throughout the track. There are more easy going moments as well, with ‘Six More Days’ giving a big, yearning sound, and ‘Every Day’ leaning towards Fleetwood Mac, where Maria Soaft’s vocals nod ever so gently in the direction of Stevie Nicks. It’s country music, but done in a way that gives little moments of surprise along the way, making it an enjoyable and engaging selection of easy listening. - Chris

Stratford's Forgotten by Friday — vocalist Maria Soaft, bassist Dominick Mauro, guitarists Joe Ayala and Mike Forgette, drummer Mike G. and multi-instrumentalist Lawrence Wenthen — threads the needle between "Let It Bleed"-era Stones, Charlie Daniels and Zac Brown. "Whiskey & Song," a recent release, dishes out modern country-rock that's wonderfully unpolished. - The Hartford Courant
Forgotten By Friday has gracefully made their presence know through the New England area. This five piece band has a sound as full as an orchestra. The band consists of Dominick Mauro, Ryan Schnieder, Michael Giamaettei, Maria Soaft and Tom Forst.
Dominick belts out the lead vocals with a raspy edge that exudes texture. He is accented with Maria’s harmonies. The two voices are entwined together like leather and lace. They have a gritty style with graceful overtones, which creates a sound that is fresh and new. It feels as if these people were born simply to be in this band.
The songs are incredibly well written. They tell stories of hardships, dreams and aspirations. Little pieces of every day living packaged in a musical journey executed with truth and passion. They have hooky choruses that suck you in until your lost in their wonderland. Some times in these trying periods of our lives the beacon of positivity is so enlightening. This music is stripped down and gets right to the heart of the matter. Their professionalism and craftsmanship is an artistic masterpiece. This band is here to show you they have lived it; been there done that and are now breaking new ground.
FbF are here to play and certainly have the capability to hold their own. This Americana band is taking their genre of music to new heights. They are not only a band, they are a religion. It is a light in the darkness and hope for the future. Their talent is undeniable and performance is of the highest caliber. Forgotten by Friday will not be soon forgotten. The fact that the name of the band is so cool is an added bonus.

FAIRFIELD -- When Police Department personnel first heard the news, Chief David Peck said, they were very upset and concerned.
Chris Costa, a dispatcher in the town's Emergency Communications Center, had been injured in a serious motorcycle accident.
"I visited him with (Deputy Chief) Gary MacNamara when he was at St. Vincent's," Peck said. Among Costa's injuries were a collapsed lung and a shattered femur. "Things were looking pretty grim at first."
Since the accident two months ago in Oxford, Costa, 27, has been transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, and according to his Facebook page -- Chris Costa Support Group -- he's getting ready to start physical therapy, though he is still getting dialysis.
"He's kind of made a miraculous recovery," Peck said.
While Costa, who also works as a paramedic with AMR and volunteers with the Stratford Emergency Medical Service, his friends and co-workers are busy putting together fundraisers to help defray his medical expenses.
The first event is Wednesday at the Daniel Street club in Milford and features three bands, Forgotten by Friday, Full Circle and King for a Day. There will also be raffle prizes.
"Chris is a great guy and is involved with almost every aspect of emergency services," said AMR co-worker and musician Dominick Mauro. "The first thing we want to do is help him pay down some of his medical costs."
The event is hosted by AMR, the Fairfield ECC, Fire and Police departments, and the Joint Hospital Planning Committee. Tickets are $10.
"Everybody's been rooting for him," Peck said.

Bio
In 2010, two old High School friends decided to start a Southern Rock/Country band based around original music that mattered to people. Music that could make a difference in someone's life and touch on the everyday emotions we all feel, in a positive way.
Believe was released in 2012, to rave reviews from places such as Scope Magazine, New England Americana Critic Noah Coakley, renowned local producer Vic Steffans, and quite a few other entities, both local and national. FbF took their music to the Nashville area, earning acclaim and playing multiple showcases in places like the Bluebird Cafe, Pict's Cafe, Douglas Corner, the Commodore, BB King's, and Rickard's, joining with many area songwriters to learn the craft of songwriting.
On the strength of their first album, FbF toured the entire New England and New York metro area, including the Boston Music Conference, The Knitting Factory, the National Underground, and Freedomfest New Jersey, with the tour ending at Showcase Live in Gillette Stadium, opening for the Marshall Tucker Band in front of thousands of fans.
As FbF started writing the second album, "Whiskey and Song" Keyboardist and Fiddle player Lawrence Wenthon was added to the lineup. Whiskey and Song was released in 2015, again to rave reviews. Another tour of the New England and New York area was completed, this time opening for national acts such as Black Jack Billy, Chris Jansen, and Keith Anderson to name a few. Almost every major festival saw a Forgotten by Friday show, save a precious few. That tour ended with a CTnow Connecticut music award for best original country band, and several nominations for the New England Music Awards.
In closing, FbF is a very talented Southern
Rock/Country band who can play any venue, arena, or type of show. All original
music, opening for a national on a huge stage? Absolutely. Mostly cover shows
in a smaller local club? No Problem. Festivals? That's what we live for. And,
the FbF sound is very family friendly, and guaranteed to entertain any size
crowd. Please let us know how we can help you. Thank you.
