Produced by Ty Rellington, this recording in particular reflects a more conscious side of Flex, something that hasn't been seen that often up to this point from the artist. Some of you may have heard some Rumors concerning Flex Kartel, and in that case he asks that you “please just let it go.” For the majority of listeners, however, this might be your first time ever hearing the name. In that case, the DMV native is here to introduce himself with a buzz single off of his upcoming mixtape Just For You. Riding a supremely catchy beat (rivaling the equally catchy hook) by OB, of Logic‘s RattPack collective, Kartel is joined by longtime Booth-favorite and fellow Maryland native Phil Adé, who lends a helping hand on his Royal Fam affiliate’s radio-friendly record. Flex Kartel's ambitious persona has given him the ability to write numerous hip-hop, R&B and rap songs, in addition, he is not afraid to "over step his boundaries," and take risk with pop music as well.  Additionally, with appearances on VIBE Magazine, Complex Magazine, 106 & Park w/ Phil Ade, SOB's, The Howard Theater, The LBCC Unity Festival, and The Fillmore, he has made his mark at many featured and well respected venues, shows, and media print.

As an independent artist with local buzz, his social media following has risen to nearly 30k. He strives to connect with his audience of fans, supporters and peers, enjoying writing music that will put his city on its frontier.  Flex's slogan simply yet perfectly describes his motivation behind his craft, “I don’t just hustle for myself, I hustle for others.”
