Feeling a bit camera shy

Meet Sheed– a kid from Baltimore with big plans of becoming the first ever rapper-turned-NBA player to win a ring and a MVP trophy. Born on the first of February in ‘93, Sheed has been rapping since the age of 9, starting out with cyphers in the schoolyard and eventually recording cyphers for Youtube. Fast forward to 2015, where the 22-year old MC has been taking rap seriously for the last 4 years, deeming it his only real outlet to express himself the way he needs to.

Atlanta-bred rap star Ludacris is one of Sheed’s major influences, thanks to the sound he introduced to rap, mixing his Southern roots with a Northern rap influence. Sheed also cites internet sensation Charles Hamilton as one of his main influences, not so much for his music, but more for his demeanor. Charles being a proud self-proclaimed loser with a carefree attitude towards people’s opinions on him was always admired by Sheed. Another one of Sheed’s main influences is Dipset head honcho Cam’Ron. Cam’s unorthodox flow, cocky yet silly demeanor both on & off the mic, and one-of-a-kind delivery all influence Sheed’s style.

Sheed himself hopes to use his music as a tool to unite his entire hometown of Baltimore and eventually bring positivity and unity to everyone across the globe. The talented wordsmith notes that unity is something the world lacks, and believes he can change the world by giving every body a common ground to meet on, that ground being his music.

One of Sheed’s main goals in his rap career is to have future generations regard him the same way our generation regards Biggie & Jay-Z. Another goal of his is to have a collaboration with Pharrell, because in his own words, “he does it all - he can take any idea I give him and execute it perfectly.”

Sheed isn’t in this rap game alone. 4Flat/Common Enemies is his conglomerate consisting of friends turned partners 4Flat Mack Scott, Killjoy, YeahhJC, and they do more than just make music together. Inspired by Kareem Campbell (and playing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2), skateboarding has been a love of Sheed’s since the 8th grade and is still and in the future, he would like to expand and sponsor more talented skateboarders.

More than music: Sheed is a man of many talents – not just rapping and skating. While attending Randallstown High school in Baltimore, he played for the school’s basketball and football teams – which probably contributed to him winning the title of Most Charismatic in his class. Sheed still loves basketball, and wouldn’t mind playing for the Knicks or the Warriors one day as a point guard/shooting guard. Aside from sports, the quick-witted MC is a scholar, formerly attending both St Johns and Morgan State University as a Physics Major. He chose Physics so he could figure out the puzzle of perpetual motion and solve the world’s energy problems.

After becoming one of the greatest rappers the world has seen, the first MC turned pro-ball player to win a championship ring and the MVP title, solving the puzzle of perpetual motion, bringing the world unity and forming a huge skate team, what’s really left to do but enjoy the simple things in the world? When it’s all said and done, Sheed would like to live a fulfilled turned simple life, retiring and moving somewhere near the mountains in Germany, Japan or Africa.

It takes a person with big dreams like Sheed to make all those seemingly crazy goals happen. You’re sure to see it all happening in a town near you soon.
