Faye – “Extortionate”: Over the past year, Ohio acoustic singer-songwriter Faye Marie Williams has reinvented herself by going electric, recruiting bassist Anthony Crawford and drummer Brad Caulley, and switching to a shorter moniker. Back in February, the band now known as Faye dropped this alt-country/indiepop bop chock full of Williams’ canary-like, harmonic vocals and superb guitar play. Although a trio in which every band member is an equal contributor, Williams takes charge of this well-oiled machine making for marvelous genre-crossing wonders like “Extortionate” and last year’s release titled “God”. - Bravado Press

The follow up to the indie anthem ‘Pink Dress’, ‘As I Am’ gives an insight into the rockier side of FAYE’s repertoire, offering up a pop-punk influenced number with heaps of energy and angst. Indie pop rock musician "Faye" is an award winning musician based out of Columbus, OH. Faye began her performance stage career at age 6 as the youngest act in her school talent show. Since then she has gone on to compose over 100 original scores, teach herself guitar, win numerous talent competitions, joined many music associations, created her own band and became an avid music business entrepreneur. When Faye crafts her vulnerable music she draws deep inspiration from the abuse she faced being the victim of a caregiver who may have Munchausen by Proxy. Having escaped from that environment Faye is left with scars that have since manifested into songs. She credits music for keeping her sane. That and the dream of using her voice, music and story to inspire others in similar situations and in general. All in all music is where Faye finds true freedom and she hopes others will find that same freedom in hers. Faye embraces the influence artists such as Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell, Halsey, Pearl Jam, Taylor Swift, Jojo (and many others) have left on her. Her vocals lend themselves to pleasant, sultry, velvet tones that have been assimilated to that of Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow. Faye's original score "Pink Dress" was selected in 2018 as a semifinalist in NSAI's national Top 40 contest. Recently her band was named one of the Top 60 Bands to Watch in Ohio via a well known music blog "Tuned Up". Faye is now on the roster with UK's Liberty Music PR and landed her first publishing deal February 2021 with upcoming music publishing company "Athena Publishing" out of Athens, OH.
