Emily Stewart & The Baby Teeth play original tunes rooted in the folk, country, and blues traditions of the Deep South. Emily Stewart first discovered her voice while sitting in a south Alabama church pew as a child, and has been refining her recipe for croonshine ever since. With lyrics and melodies that channel the strength of Odetta, the delicate twang of Kitty Wells, and the forthright softness of Loretta Lynn, her songs are homegrown and slow-cooked. The sweetest nip is always followed by an honest bite.
Her full band, The Baby Teeth create an intricate backdrop for each tune using a wide chorus of melodies from banjo, electric guitar, and pedal steel, adding delicate layers to a spiritual songscape that rests on a powerful foundation of rich vocals, drums, and bass.Band Members
