Eli Baez is formerly Liz Light of the Zen Rites, Ithaca indie folk duo. Eli was classically trained in voice at Crane School of Music in Potsdam and debuted at Carnegie Hall in 2008 singing the Mozart Vespers. Since then, Eli has traded piano for guitar and has been gigging as a singer-songwriter through Ithaca and Syracuse, NY. Now calling Albany home, this queer kid's new persona is bringing out new experimental sounds, thanks to a brand new Fender Stratocaster Standard HHS MIM opening up a whole new world for this previously-all-acoustic folk singer.
