DY Na$ty is a conscious rap artist, trill wave trapsoul music producer, & chillwave vocalist from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He also explores the realm of electronic dance music & club hits. Currently residing in Chapel Hill, NC, DY Nasty is working on his upcoming feature film screenplay, numerous music projects (including an official debut studio album for iTunes & Spotify), discussing options and being scouted by Sony Music ATV, Roc Nation, Atlantic Records, Def Jam, Universal Music Group, Fool's Gold Records, Warner Bros. Records, RCA Records, & Interscope A&R Executives. DY Na$ty has 4 official mixtapes released on bandcamp including his latest release "Zoo Carolina," a 37 track album, mixed and mastered by DY Na$ty himself.

DY Na$ty has performed at various venues around the East Coast and has been featured on numerous music blogs. DY has worked on music videos and short films as well. He was the 1st Ever Champion of Battle of the Bands @ UNCW where he studied Filmmaking and he was obtaining his Bachelors in Fine Arts. His music has developed from conscious hip hop to cloudrap & electronic music. His newest exploration in sound is within the genre of trapsoul. His vocal talents showcase his incredible skill and versatility.

DY Na$ty is a professional DJ, sound engineer, recording artist, graphic designer, filmmaker, & ghostwriter. He has opened for artists such as Gramatik, GRiZ, Joey Bada$$, Vinnie Paz, Denzel Curry, Exmag, Super Bob, Yelawolf, Afroman, & The Underachievers. His biggest influences stem from cloudrap (including Yung Sherman, Yung Lean, & Yung Gud) to conscious hip hop such as Immortal Technique & Ab-Soul. He also draws inspiration from the entire Beast Coast movement (Underachievers, Pro Era, & Flatbush Zombies). His lyrical intelligence blends with Clams Casino esque production to provide an interesting blend of sound. In 2016, DY Na$ty was heavily influenced by artists such as Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, Travi$ Scott, Vic Mensa and Post Malone. He has incorporated more experimentation in regards to R&B vocal performance and his use of auto-tune is truly groundbreaking. His vocal talents make him stand apart from other rappers in the industry.

DY Na$ty can sing, rap, write, and perform like no other. He reaches an interesting demographic due to his environment growing up. His lyrics address his past heartbreaks, drug problems, fake friendships, hardships with family, political issues, police brutality, cinema, video gaming, growing up in middle-class america, and observing life through his own lens. His music stems from catchy club bangers to deep inspirational ballads. His music brings together every element of hip hop and he has mastered the craft of music production over the last several years.

DY Na$ty performed at A3C 2016 Music Festival in Atlanta where he played two shows. He has performed live at Counterpoint Music Festival in Rome, GA and played shows at Cat's Cradle (Carrboro, NC) Ziggy's By The Sea (Wilmington, NC) The Throne Theater (Wilmington, NC) House of Blues (Myrtle Beach, SC) Razzle's (Daytona Beach, FL) Kenan Stadium (Chapel Hill, NC) & The David H.
