Bio
Drea Van Allen, who currently resides in Boulder, is a singer, songwriter, harmonicist, percussionist, guitarist, storyteller, and blues woman who began playing in late 2010. In years past Drea was in a blues duo called, Slidin’ Delta. Since 2016, Drea has been pursuing a solo career which took her all over the USA in 2016. Some notable gigs include, teaching a workshop at the Society and Advancement for the Preservation of the Harmonica (Texas), Ground Zero Blues Club (Mississippi), V-Club as an opener for the country band, Sundy Best, and as the featured blues act (West Virginia), Hopmonk (California), and many more in the Midwest and West Coast. This May Drea will be performing and teaching at Hill Country Harmonica in Waterford, MS.
Drea has recorded one EP with Slidin’ Delta called, Fires and Floods, has done some hired studio work and will be releasing her first solo EP to the public, Little Girl So Lo(w), at the end of this month. Drea is described as one of a kind, writing artful songs out of her life experiences, who has been said to play the harmonica like some of the best, and sings like an old soul.”
