DJing is a family business for the Salazars, and Kevin Salazar, 21, aka DJ Rekoh Suave learned the ropes starting from a young age by watching older brother on the decks. He became an entrepreneur at the spry age of 13 when he landed his first gig, a quinceanera for a friend of a friend. He caught on quick, kept up his practice through high school and started his own business — Midnight Fantasy Entertainment — with his older brother during 2017.
Since then, he’s landed residencies for several Reno hotspots, opened for big name Mexican artist like Tierra Cali, Graciela Beltran, and more, and most recently, Wild 102.9 started playing his mixes weekly on their highest-rated segment “The Traffic Jam” 5-6pm.
