DJ C-RIZ formally known as C-RIZ from Channel 9.33 morning show, “Kramer & Geena” now switched to “Geena & Franky” was the board operator for the past four years, but was with iHeart Radio for about ten years. Meanwhile, working for the station, DJ C-RIZ was turning up clubs from Downtown San Diego, all the way up to Temecula since he was 18! Throughout the years, DJ C-RIZ has performed in iconic venues and events in San Diego like KABOO, Channel 933 Summer Kickoff Concert, Petco Park’s Party at the Park with Snoop Dogg & Nelly, opening up for New Kids On the Block in Viejas Arena. As well as performing his own music at San Diego’s House of Blues, Music Box and in both North Park and in Santa Ana’s Observatory. Although the love he has for scratching and mixing on the turntables, his main passion is producing music. That’s how Ocean Grown Records went from a dream and turned into a reality. - SDVoyager
While studying the music industry and trying to learn from “the big guys”, I discovered that in most cases the artist was being exploited by the demands and legal bonds held by contractual obligations…Us coming into the business as artists, we wanted to build a safe environment to create and be able to express our art freely with no ties and bonds. - SDVoyager

"Started djin when I was 16, summer 2009
Began playing techno beats at my backyard kickbacks
Word got around of me djin that summer, so I spent my senior year booked up at least 1 night every weekend
DJin became my "job" in college; earning cash playing at house parties, quinceaneras, & hookah lounges
I then started working for the #1 Top 40 radio station in San Diego, KHTS
Shortly after turning 21, I started hosting its weekend Mixshow
Talking in n out of mixes, taking calls & playing them back on air was really fun, but the real fun for me is when I was allowed to host & play my mixes live on air
Felt like the big guys, specially after installing a dusty pair of Technic turntables I had found cleaning out a closet at the radio station
The mixshow never dropped ratings & i am very proud of that!
Surprisingly, I'm even more proud of my morning show experience!
At 24 I had been "promoted" to "assistant producer" of KHTS' morning show, aside from my weekend mixshow duties
Did that till february 2020...not knowing we were about to get into a 18 month shutdown
Luckily before leaving the morning show & radio station, I had been working, not just on my music production, but also on my very own record label, Ocean Grown Records
Releasing my first full-production project titled Ocean Grown
It featured local artists & has instrumental tracks, including samples of some local classics
After its completion, I began recording/producing Just Quincy, & Michael Gabriel
As well as working on the foundation to my next project:
bonedaddy - an electronic solo act (no djin) both improv & planned daw-less sets
We have since, released a few singles/EPs/Albums, done a few opening sets for some, in our eyes, hip-hop legends....even been to area 51
We have a lot of dreams & aspirations for our future in the music industry
All positive, inspiring, & motivating
