"Effect-laden vocals and hard-panned instrumentation create a Stereolab meets Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys California perspective on the European synth-pop, resulting in a technicolor collage of fuzz guitars, bitcrushed synthesizers, and chasms dripping with reverb." - March 2016
"The look of the band reminded me of the back cover of The Velvet Underground and Nico. With music that feels closer to the higher points of Olivia Tremor Control..." - March 2016
"The band’s sound is actually rooted in lush harmonies and hooks patented by the Beach Boys or The Beatles, and filtered through a psychedelic glaze." - March 2016
"Delicious Pastries is omnivorous in taste, alluding to MST3K, The Beatles, and the Bible, while musically quoting the power pop of Big Star, the majestic self-indulgency of ELO, and just about any other major and minor influence in pop of the last fifty years." - May 2013
"The Pittsburgh band succeeds at hitting the sweet spot with a jangly pop sound that lets you know they've spent lots of time with Beatles, Beach Boys and Kinks records, while also keeping an eye on modern indie-rock." - December 2011

Bio
Delicious Pastries are a band unencumbered by the fleeting dalliances of the new rock vogue. Galvanized by a deep love of the pop idiom, they create melodic vignettes as familiar as they are odd. Whimsical and literate, their sound is equal parts yesterday and today. Their ambitious arrangements will carry the listener away in a flume of buoyant harmony before splashing them down in a pool of psychedelic fuzz.
