Bio
Jacksonville, Florida based Alt-Country group, Dean Winter & the Heat, is on a mission to blend classic country stylings with the overall mood of current alt and Americana genres. On their debut record entitled “Pay Dirt” you will find four songs donning simple yet enticing melodies, the smooth cry of a pedal steel guitar, and a rhythm section so stout you can’t help but nod your head in agreement.
Dean Winter is a song-writer that has spent years writing and collaborating with various artists and bands. The “Pay Dirt” EP is a representation of Winter branching out to share his songs under his own name for the very first time. Originally from the Chesapeake bay area of Maryland, Winter found his way to the Florida sunshine in 2008.
The Heat is comprised of Jack Mock (Pedal Steel), Jeremy “Jerms” Blanton (Bass), and Ty Sullivan (Drums). Three overwhelmingly talented musicians who cut their teeth in the North Florida music scene. Winter had collaborated with each of them individually in separate projects and knew just who to call when he wanted to put out a record with just the right amount of country flare and soulful vibe.
“Pay Dirt” will be independently released on March 6, 2020. For more information on management, publishing, or booking please contact deanwintermusic@gmail.com.
