Dawn Lyu is a 23-year old singer-songwriter, piano player. Born and raised in Chengdu, China, currently study piano performance in LACM, tutored by Kate Dunton, Mitch Forman and Carey Frank.
She is deeply in love with jazz, R&B and electronic music. Brad mehldau, Lalah Hathway, Jill scott, Jamila Woods, Anderson .paak are her main influence.
Her music sounds like misty blue, gently telling a story with a core of profound feeling.
At this stage, she is learning and exploring sounds, groove, arrangement in different genre, trying to combine the music language, create her own voice.
