Danielle W. Carter, who is known as Dani W in the music world, is an indie artist and songwriter, based in Los Angeles, establishing a genre in Soul music with a Pop sensibility. Dani has had the pleasure of performing with notable acts and indie artists alike including Wayne Brady and Judith Hill (from Michael Jackson’s This Is It and The Voice) and Nina Storey. Dani, being of mixed heritage continues to connect with a broad multicultural audience. Dani has performed in Hong Kong, Beijing and Nigeria and is excited to continue creating music that bridges cultures together globally. When not on stage, Danielle works on her jewelry line, ONYX XOXO, in which she meticulously designs and creates each piece herself, resulting in jewelry which is as unique and original as the girl who is wearing it. The two enchanted evenings featured a phenomenal collection of Georgetown University music and comedic talent—alumni performers spanning six decades—putting on exciting performances to a sold out audience. A special tribute was made to renowned singer/songwriter Bill Danoff (I'68), where he received the very first GEMA Lifetime Achievement Award for his many contributions to Georgetown, GEMA and the music industry.

When it came to style, indie artist and songwriter Danielle W. Carter (Dani W) was looking for her own funky vibe for on-stage live performance wear. She decided to put her creativity to work and design jewelry pieces that made a statement. As she integrated these pieces on stage and in every day wear, women started to take notice. Their requests for Dani’s pieces evolved into her own jewelry line Onyx XOXO. Dani, being of mixed heritage continues to connect with a broad multicultural audience. Danielle Wei-Tsung Carter is a multicultural singer and recording artist working on her first solo project with all original songs. She loves creating and making things by hand.

Due to her mixed Chinese and African American descent Danielle is constantly inspired to explore and share multicultural communication, human relationships, travel and culture. The things she creates provide the platform.

Initially, she started designing accessories and styling outfits to wear at her shows. Then friends started to ask for tips and for custom jewelry for their photo shoots, shows and events. As the requests extended, Danielle launched her online jewelry line called ONYX XOXO. - Artist Think
