Bio
Although born and raised in Alaska, like some migratory bird he ultimately left and called Washington state home for several years, before moving to Oregon where he now resides.
"I am an artist who performs predominantly original material," Dan says, "and throughout my life my focus has remained my passion for music."
In 2006, Dan was named "Performing Songwriter of the Year" by the Portland Songwriters Association, and two of his songs took top honors in the Folk/Acoustic and Country/Americana categories of a national song contest judged by a group of distinguished insiders from the music industry.
In addition, one of his compositions (in several variations) is featured on "Getting Into The Groove", an instructional CD by well-known songwriter, teacher, and author Jai Josefs (www.jaijomusic.com).
