What a great show!! We had them last year, we had them this year, and we'll have them again! It's like seeing Tom Petty in concert! - Kevin Stratton, Sherman Village Amphitheater
“The Damned Torpedoes – a Tom Petty Celebration Band was amazing at our 1st Annual Strassenfest held on Main Street in Staunton, IL. The energy and atmosphere that was elevated from the crowd was absolutely amazing. There was not a single person that this band did not impress.” - Natalie Floyd - Staunton Staussenfest
Our booth was situated around the corner from the stage, so we couldn't see what was going on. We heard Tom Petty music and we thought the sound guy was playing it before the band started. No! It's was the band!! I could have sworn Tom Petty was on stage! - M Holmes - Staunton Strassenfest
“Seeing the Torpedoes is just like being at a Tom Petty concert. Everyone commented to me how awesome the Torpedoes are and how much fun they had” - Joe Regan - Event Promoter
Steve Myers as Tom Petty, masters his voice & mannerisms! Troy Roark nails the vocal harmonies while not missing a beat on the drums. Great keyboards, guitar (& harmonica) & bass... Not a weak link... - Michael Reid
"Always enjoy listening to this group! If you haven’t seen them, you’re missing out!" - Stephanie Danielson
Damned Torpedoes came to rock the Watseka Theatre ... and rock her they DID!
Were they playing Tom Petty songs or had Tom come back to join us to jam?! They were that good. A really fun and great night for all in attendance! - Chuck Gomez, Watseka Theatre

Damned Torpedoes – A Tom Petty Celebration, one of the Midwest's Premier Tom Petty Tribute acts, are now booking for late 2022-2023. Over the past several years, Damned Torpedoes have heard the same two things over and over again from fans and venues alike: First, Damned Torpedoes play EVERY Tom Petty Radio Hit. There are no songs forgotten during their 3-hour show. From the late-70’s beginnings, through the MTV years of the 80s and 90s… even the Traveling Wilbury years. No songs are left off the setlist. Even the casual Petty fans will recognize nearly every song. “I forgot how many hits they had!” is a common after-show theme from the fans. And second… Fans and Venues rave about the accuracy of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers sound. While similar bands seem to have a “bro-country “wig” band doing Petty” vibe; Damned Torpedoes painstakingly re-create the sounds and tones, with authentic instrumentation, to get that unmistakable Heartbreaker sound. Here’s what people have recently said… “Seeing the Torpedoes is just like being at a Tom Petty concert. Everyone commented to me how awesome the Torpedoes are and how much fun they had” - J Regan, Event Coordinator “WOW! THEY NAILED IT! Great turnout for the event..and the on-stage performance and sound were like Tom Petty and his band was on Stage! We were so pleased we booked them again for our 2022 concert season!” - Mike Stratton - Sherman Village Amphitheater Damned Torpedoes are booking Midwest dates..
