Cori.Jaye

Having shown an affinity for music from the age of 10 yrs old, Cori.Jaye has been fine-tuning her Production, Engineering, Musicianship, Mixing, Sound Editing, Mastering, Lyricist, Piano, Song-Writing, Singing & DJing skills with a unique repertoire of Musical Elements, Transcending Sounds and Captivating Melodies. Growing up in many sub cities in the Los Angeles County, Including: Compton, Carson, Gardena, Long Beach, Inglewood, Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley, She has versatility in her DNA. In 2013, Cori.Jaye received her Bachelor of Arts in Digital Media Arts: Music Technology, with a minor in music from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Since then she has worked with many professionals in the Music, Film & Entertainment Industry. Cori.Jaye has performed at the L.A Live for the National Lupus Foundation, Los Globos, Record Store Night, African-American Museum, The Sol Venue, An array of  Charity Companies and other numerous events throughout the Southern and Northern Los Angeles area.  

While growing up in Compton, CA from her elementary to high school years, Cori.Jaye experienced many hardships in her life such as depression, anxiety issues, self-esteem problems, and Bullying after the death of her mother to the deadly disease lupus at the age of 13 years old. Like many children growing up in a community lacking the resources, financial assistance and counseling needed to prevail under those devastating circumstances, Cori.Jaye made a decision to prevail through her situations and continue to follow her dreams. She knew there was a greater journey ahead if she stayed focus and manifested her passions to realities one step at a time. Cori.Jaye hopes her story can be an inspiration to other young girls who are similar to her background and be a prime example of overcoming fears and adversity.

Since then she has been dominating a broad range of genres such as Funk, Soul, Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Indie, Alternative Rock and her own special blend of higher vibration music. You never know what to expect when she is mixing on those lovely 1's & 2's for that given time in space. Cori. Jaye stands out by not only playing records most DJ's forgot about, But she also flows through the music by letting her body control the rhythm. If you had the chance of experiencing Cori.Jaye perform, One would say she is Fearless, Bold, Energetic, Soulful and Comical. She blends her love of Performing Arts with her music when given the chance to be on a positive platform.

DJ Cori.Jaye is setting the bar high and continuing to reach stars out of this world by continuing to innovate in all her fields of interest. 

She is definitely a DJ who isn't afraid to innovate and try something new, Some would say the sky is the limit, But to Cori. Jaye its only a piece of the Cloud 9.
