Bio
Born and raised in the Pineywoods of East Texas, Nacogdoches native Cole Stephens has a musical legacy rooted in his family. Inspired by his grandfather, who sang gospel music, Cole first took the stage at age eight on his grandpa’s music show.
In high school, Cole fell in love with the Texas Country Music scene and frequented honky-tonks to see his favorite artists play, such as Muscadine Bloodline, Aaron Watson, Josh Abbott, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, and Koe Wetzel.
After the loss of his childhood home to a fire in 2020, Cole turned to his guitar to find comfort and release. Cole recorded his first three songs, including “Bonfire,“ the summer after graduation. The opportunity to open for Joey Greer at Banita Creek Hall ignited Cole's pursuit of music. Cole was hooked the moment he took the stage!
Since his release of “I Could Use Some Rain” and “Bonfire” in 2022, Cole has released six more singles, showcasing his growth as an artist. Cole has opened for artists Joey Greer, Jon Stork, and the legendary Tracy Byrd, gracing stages at iconic Texas venues like, Banita Creek Hall, the Dosey Doe, Love and War in Texas and Old Coupland Hall.
Cole has released two singles to Regional Radio. "Came Home Too Soon" topped out at #60 on the Texas Country Music Chart. "Ain't Enough Beer" topped out at #57 on the Texas Country Music Chart and #51 on the Texas Internet Radio.
