Growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, CJ Fluharty has enjoyed an atmosphere of sunshine, nature, family, and music. His mother and father encouraged him to love and play music. With the help of lots of friends, he has been playing music for many years-at schools, churches, parties, bars, over coffees, cokes, and beers. More than just an enchanting songwriter, storyteller, and performer, CJ is also a proud husband and loving father of four (count 'em-FOUR) daughters. His songs are melodic, inviting, soulful, persuasive, thoughtful, kind, moving, strong, and creative.
"For CJ there is beauty in the journey, and gratitude for the beauty, but an even greater appreciation for new experiences. Listening to his music discloses an artist who loves people and wants to tell their stories. When you see him perform live his outgoing personality adds even more dimension to his songs. Whether it's the human inclusiveness of "We All Need Love", or the touching divorce father's special "Friday Night", CJ navigates the winding trails of life. A love for family, the outdoors, friends, and intellectual conversations has created an artist who is not afraid of any subject. What he refuses to do is let the darkness win regardless of the circumstances. That may be the most rewarding element to CJ's music. He is going to find the sunlight, and he's going to show you how to get there."
