Amid the Comet’s hiatus, longtime booker Michelle “Mama Casserole” Smith has diverted her attention to Eastlake’s Lo-Fi and Waid’s, a Haitian restaurant in the CD. Tonight she hosts a killer bill there featuring some of Seattle’s most exciting electronic alchemists and one badass out-of-towner. Circuit Vine is a relatively new local trio flaunting an ominous, guitar-driven, industrial-breakbeat groove; Airport makes heavy disco-house that’s simultaneously charismatic and hypnotic. Hailing from Toledo, Ohio, Heavy Color sets creole chants atop African percussion and jazzy horn melodies, a one-man, whirled-beat chop shop. - City ARTS
Attention, Eastside teens! You are in a pretty great place in the world for all-ages music. The Old Fire House in Redmond has been a vital part of Seattle's greater-area all-ages music scene since the early '90s. Plus, in Bellevue there's the similarly historic and now very suburbanly new Ground Zero, the most happening rec room/venue in the Lake Hills neighborhood. It's a diverse night at OFH featuring local electronic duo Circuit Vine, which only played their first show in June. While their galactic '80s bit is still teething, it recalls what was once good about chillwave: propulsive tropical rhythms, nostalgic, foggy atmospheres, and big beat drops. But with Circuit Vine's fucked-up rap-gaze vocals reminiscent of 2009-era Disaro Records, it's a recipe for what can now just be umbrella'd under the phrase "post-chill cluster-wave." You can dance to it, either way. With In the Pouch and Julio X. Old Fire House, 8 pm, $5. - The Stranger

Circuit Vine Though this trio refers to itself (perhaps facetiously) as chillwave, its sound relies as more on jagged synth textures than catatonic '80s nostalgia. With Urban Jellyfish, Three for T, Letters From Traffic. The Crocodile. 7 p.m. $5 DOS. All ages. - SEATTLE Weekly

Bio
Circuit Vine was established in Seattle, WA in the year 2012
http://www.circuitvine.com/music.htmlWe came together from other regions and music projects to create a band using synthesizers, drum machines and later added bass guitar and 8-bit sounds. Circuit Vine's goal is to create beautiful electronic rock music with a clash of noises and sound textures. Our history is short still since we started in June 2012, yet our history continues on being written. We will be releasing a full length album summer 2014 titled "Died Art Songs".
