Bio
Chris Wells came from a family of five brothers, all singers, songwriters and guitar players. At age 14, Wells played his first live performance. This was just the beginning. After getting much musical experience under his belt, he began the art of songwriting.
In 1997, Wells released his first works "Rooms With Color", a thirteen song collection that included 41 of Wells' best musical friends and finest players to help in his effort to show case the songs. Upon release, "Colorado Calling Me" reached number 16 on the charts in Colorado which lead Wells to perform and get top billing to perform in Salida, Colorado at it's annual "FibArk Festival", a gathering of the worlds finest kayak racers. Wells also received air play for "More or Less" on adult contemporary stations and wrote "Pulling it Together" which became the anthem for Hurricane Andrew. Shortly thereafter, Wells was asked to perform at the New Orleans House of Blues with such noted singer, Delma Trosclair and later performed with Percy Sledge and New Orleans' own Oliver "who shot the la-la" Morgan.
Four years ago, Wells moved outside of Nashville to set his sights on becoming a major league writing act and performed at "Tooties", The Bluebird Cafe, and The Waverly Cafe. All of which are noted songwriters' venues.
Wells is now in the studio completing his new CD "Walk in the Park" scheduled for release in March.
