Bio
Christina Apostolopoulos is a guitarist/singer/songwriter currently based in Santa Barbara, California. Her musical journey began on her 8th birthday, when she received a nylon string Yamaha guitar. Christina hit the ground running, learning to play the music that she was raised on: Simon and Garfunkel, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Queen, and of course, The Beatles. Growing up, she moved and traveled often with her family, her guitar always in tow. As a result she was exposed to various teachers and styles, expanding her musical interests to other genres of music including classical, jazz, and the blues. Always interested in literature and writing poetry, songwriting became a natural progression for Christina.
In 2010 Christina auditioned for and was accepted with a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music. Though her major was Guitar Performance, Christina was heavily involved in the songwriting community and was a finalist in singer/songwriter showcases every year she attended Berklee. She has performed in numerous venues on both coasts, including (but not limited to): SoHo Music Club, Cambridge Drive Concert Series, House of Blues LA, Genghis Cohen, Witzend, Room 5, Berklee Performance Center, Club Passim, and more. She is now preparing to record and release her first full-length album of original songs in 2016.
