Chris James Band

The Chis James Band is a 4 peice original band featuring the songwriting of Chris James, who has been writing and performing since the age of 10.  The sound can be described as new grass / americana, with dynamic interludes in between what is mostly a fast, driving, high energy presentation.  The writing reflects a developed depth, both lyrically and musically, going to places that have been described by fans as new and refreshing. The rhythm section, Taylor Ricks and Bruce the Moose, deliver a perfectly executed backing to the fast, melody-woven chord work of the acoustic guitar, highlighted by the exceptional skills of Brendan Gosson on fiddle. All the band members are from the upstate New York area and have been performing together for 7 years. Through it all, Chris's dedication to crafting quality songs to be performed with high energy and just the right dynamic drives the overriding theme of the band. Currently working on their second album and playing festivals in NY, PA and NH, the band is progressing, gaining dedicated fans and honing their sound.
