Oklahoma is known for supporting its local musicians. In Tulsa, Chloe Johns earns the top spot as best local musician in the city, followed closely by perennial favorites The Fabulous Mid Life Crisis Band. Eric Himan and Sweatin’ Bullets round out this year’s list.
Hosty Duo has been entertaining crowds in Oklahoma City for many years, and this year they claim the top spot for best local band. The group 2 a.m. follows, and violinist extraordinaire Kyle Dillingham rounds out the top three. - Oklahoma Magazine
01. Caledonia Blue by Chloe Johns and Justin Cooper (3:44) -- A great start to the compilation, especially if you have enjoyed the first two volumes of New Tulsa Sound. It is not as deeply steeped in old-timey folk as some of the other faire on this compilation. In fact Caledonia Blue could have easily fit on either of the previous LPs. Johns has a great voice, and Cooper is fine accompaniment. I really enjoyed the fingerstyle guitar work. There's a little bit of a Deep Elem Blues vibe to this song in the arrangement. But it is Johns' vocals that really stand out. - Jivewired Journal

Chloe Johns is a musician based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is a member of the alt-country band Seven Feathers (vocals,rhythm guitar, songwriter) as well as one-half of the Dandi Duo with fellow musician Erin O'Dowd.
