"Children of I.L.L.I.O.S. " Paragon" Video - Elevator"

West Side Chicago’s Children of I.L.L.I.O.S. is a dynamic duo, composed of 17 year old’s Musa Reems and Kairo Jones. The pair are clearly a couple of young intellectuals, which you can deduce simply from the intricacy of their moniker. Children of I.L.L.I.O.S., which translates to Children of the Sun and also contains the acronym I.L.L.I.O.S.; Illuminating Light Living in Our Soul. Their latest visual “Paragon” filmed by Visual Mecca is a swirl of flickering Chicago color. Give it a look and let us know what you think about these young new comers. - Elevator Magazine

"Children of ILLIOS "Journey Through The Blakk Sun" [Mixtape]"

The rise of Children of I.L.L.I.O.S. begins with “Journey Through The Blakk Sun”, the debut LP of West-Side duo of Kairo Jones and Musa Reems. The 15-track project is an eclectic mix of sounds that Hip-Hop heads alike would really enjoy. Personally, my favorite tracks on this project are Elysian, Paragon, Icarus, Completeness, Indigo Child, Zenith, and Solstice, which give the best illustrations of what this prolific duo has to offer in its sound. Listening and being able to reflect on this project after hearing their last project and EP has been a huge difference in understanding the identity that this duo has solidified through its wavy beats, full of soulful samples and uncanny lyricism. Although both Kairo and Musa have been recently developing within the Chicago Hip-Hop scene I’d honestly suggest to not overlook these two hungry and humble juggernauts as our city’s most promising Hip-Hop upstarts. - GoWhereHipHop

"Children of I.L.L.I.O.S. - Awaiting Arrival"

ILLuminating Light Living in our Soul

That's what the name The Children of I.L.L.I.O.S. stands for, which might be a mouthful but the name suits the group. Some tracks are about serious issues in society they feel need to be spoken on, while others are all about where they plan to take their music. Consisting of Kairo Jones and Musa, the duo released their first EP “Awaiting Arrival” recently, in which each of the 10 songs possess tranquil yet meaningful vibes.

The first track “Intro” is exactly that, an introduction to who they are as a collective. The beat is sultry and the song is all about themselves and whats been going in their lives. The fourth track “SOLmate” goes by quickly, but if you really listen you'll realize how much they're talking about, their lyrics are really important and are all about the problems in society right now. “Klementine” is a bit more personal, as they talk about this girl who they envision in the moonlight. “Genocide” has a more complex beat and sounds like something that could be from the early 2000s. Kairo and Musa might just be starting their musical journey, but with the lyrical talent they have it'll be exciting to see how far they go.

“Dropping hot shit and its burning through your headbeat.
Tripping off the hurt, yeah the niggas stay steady.
Put us on the track and these guys gon wreck it.
This that raw shit, niggas aint ready.”
