Bio
Charlie is a multi-instrumentalist
from South Orange, NJ. After studying piano and violin from a young age,
he picked up the guitar and began studying the double bass at age 13.
He continued to study the double bass at the Hartt School of Music in
West Hartford, CT. While in school he met, and subsequently began
playing music with, fellow bassist/guitarist/songwriter Kyle Behnken.
After performing mostly for crowds of friends at their house in CT they
began performing publicly in New York and New Jersey following their
graduation in May of 2014. Currently they mostly perform as an acoustic
duo, occasionally collaborating with singers and other musicians.
Charlie began writing songs and recording them on his laptop
at home while in high school though most have yet to be performed live.
He currently records under the name HerbWalker, a name you can take to
mean what you will, and those tracks can be found on soundcloud and
hopefully will soon be released through other online music distribution
systems.
