"Escoto's track, "Stay for Good," is a breathy girl-and-a-guitar folk ballad.
Escoto... is a breath of refreshing inexperience. She taught herself to play [guitar] as a high school junior, and ventured into public singing only two years ago. Now, her name is on a CD that debuted at No. 190 on Billboard's Top 200 Comprehensive Albums chart. According to a Starbucks spokesperson, more than 20,000 copies of "Off the Clock" have been sold" - The Ventura County Star
" Escoto is a student with a talent for writing music and performing. She was one of 15 selected from around 800 songwriters to be featured on the Starbuck’s album, “Off the Clock.”
“When I got the phone call I literally called Starbucks back to make sure they didn’t make a mistake,” Escoto said. “After I found out that I really had been chosen, I actually ran up and down my street because I couldn’t contain myself.”
It’s a good thing Escoto is no longer containing her music though." - The Graphic

Bio
Though I've always loved music and dreamed of creating it, I didn't start doing so until I was 18 years old. I was heavily influenced by my parents' music taste growing up which ranged from Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin, to Al Green and Aretha Franklin, all the way to the Ramones, The Talking Heads and Emmylou Harris.
I never thought I'd sing in front of people, and really didn't think that I had anything special until I was working at a Young Life camp in Northern California. A musician by the name of Brandon Heath, now CCM royalty, was performing there and he told me I could sing. I was surprised but, thought I might see if he was right. I played my first show that fall and recorded my first few songs, and the reaction I received from friends, family and strangers was nothing short of miraculous to me.
Despite being an insecure 18 year old, I knew in my guts I'd end up singing in front of folks for years to come.
Shortly after, as an art student in April of 2007 I was selected among 14 other musicians to have my song " Stay for Good" featured on the Starbucks Entertainment release "Off the Clock, Vol. 1". It debuted on the Billboard Top 200 and has sold over 30,000 copies. "Off the Clock, Vol. 1" was mentioned in USA Today, Harp Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Paste, CMJ, and was featured in OK Magazine.
Shortly after, I finished my first album, "At Long Last" with Troy Dixon, a Nashville native who was engineering in L.A. and decided to work with me on the cheap. Since then I've performed around L.A. in places like Room 5, Crane's Tavern, The Hotel Cafe, and the like alongside older and wiser musicians like Leslie Stevens, Jamie Drake, Kathleen Grace and The Parson Redheads.
I released an EP in 2010 called "You'll Be OK" with composer Steven Mudd ( which included Brent Kutzle from One Republic in the playing credits). This August I released my most recent EP called "Light The Dark" which I co-produced with Mike Kopulos and is my favorite release to date.
I currently spend a large chunk of the year performing for thousands of High-School students at camps owned and operated by Young Life, and continue to perform around Los Angeles and beyond.
I recently returned from a trip to Nashville where I got to co-write with the likes of Justin Ebach, Jonathan Smith, Tony Wood, Jeff Pardo, Molly Reed and Hillary McBride. Whether its in Los Angeles or Music City itself, I look forward to creating and performing for years to come.
