Caleb Young Band

Most musicians know that its hard enough to build a foundation once, The CYB has done this twice. The Caleb Young Band formed for the first time in 2015 when Caleb Young Pinkston (hailing from the Big Country outside of Abilene, Texas) met guitarist and songwriter Austin Grigry while working in the Permian Basin. The two quickly formed a connection and began writing original material. Within their first year they formed a band, released a single titled "Running On E" and their debut self titled 5 song EP, played the 2015 Chevrolet Main Stage at the Texas State Fair (courtesy of the Country Showdown), opened the 2016 annual Crudefest and were able to share the stage with several notable Texas Country Acts. Unfortunately in 2016 the CYB had to take a hiatus due to personal issues. Fast forward to mid 2018, after remaining friends for several years Caleb and Austin decided it was finally the right time to pursue music once again. They formed a new band now consisting of Caleb Young Pinkston on Vocals and Acoustic Guitar, Austin Grigry on Lead Guitar, Lilo Hernandez on Drums, Timmy Neves on Steel Guitar and Will Doroteo on Bass and Backup Vocals. In June of 2019 the CYB entered Orb Recording Studios to track their soon to be released single "Long Road Home" produced by Austin Grigry and Matt Meli. Quite the departure from their earlier material, Long Road Home sees the CYB stray more towards the Southern Rock genre while paying tribute to the spirit of Outlaw Country. The Caleb Young Band is currently booking dates across West Texas and promoting their new single "Long Road Home" to be released on August 16, 2019.
